With the acquisition of a 3D printer at Christmas, we have been able to offer bespoke items for all you artists out there.
A 3D printer uses information from a computer to “print” an item, layer by layer, from plastic filament (it’s biodegradable!)
Here it is, printing a Buddy Bucket in a timelapse video. Clever, isn’t it?
The first items were split buckets so that you can have clean water on one side and dirty water on the other. They come in a variety of shapes and colours and some are conventional without a split. They are priced at £8 to £12.
Here are some examples:
Have a look in the shop. Then we moved on to brush stands, both restrained and somewhat gaudy!
Other colours are available. These are £8 each.
Next it was little Buddy Buckets and Buddy Mugs. They don’t do anything but sit and silently support you as you paint. However, they do hold water if you just need to wet your paintbrush while you are sketching. £3 each, a bargain!
Charlie wanted some Pocket Palettes which you could slip into your pocket or bag, preloaded with paint, and could be used for painting in your sketch book. So, after some trial and error, we came up with these.
The lid slides off revealing indentations for paint and a mixing area. It can be taken apart for washing. £8 each.
We also developed some tubes to carry your paint brushes. These come in various sizes and colours, depending on what you wish to carry with you. One end is marked “top” to remind you to keep the tube the right way up. A genius touch, if I say so myself! Priced around £8.
I hope you’ll take a look in the shop. Everything is reasonably priced and unique. We are working on new ideas all the time. Any suggestions would be considered.
