Workshop Holidays 2024

By popular request, we are repeating  a week of watercolour workshops at our local Village Hall in Acklington. It’s actually 4 days in two blocks of two. So you can either paint for four days with a day off in the middle or just come for two days. Lunch is provided but you arrange your own accommodation. There are many choices in the area, it has become quite the tourist place. We blame “Vera” and the Sunday Times lists of “hidden treasures”!

The dates are Monday/Tuesday 24th/25th June and/or Thursday/Friday 27th and 28th June 2024.

24th/25th June  FULL

And 27th/28th June  FULL

Cost is £200 for 2 days, £400 for 4 days.

A non-returnable deposit of £50/100 is required to make a booking. Contact Gail on 01670 760 030 (leave a message if I’m out of the office) or send an enquiry to sales@charlesevansart.com.

You will need to bring your own painting kit: brushes, paints, paper, pencil, a board to rest on and a water container  etc. Charlie likes to paint on location, if possible, so bring a chair or an easel.

We will have our shop available for art materials and books at greatly reduced prices.

Acklington is a quiet village just a few miles from the beautiful unspoilt Northumberland coast. It’s 3 miles from the traditional harbour town of Amble and the picturesque village of Warkworth with its ancient castle and river setting. Acklington Village Hall is located at the western end of Acklington village, on the main through road, the B6345. It is only about 50 m from the lovely old church, St John the Divine, on the other side of the road. It has a small tarmac area at the front which can hold up to 8 cars but there is also unrestricted on-street parking on both sides.
