The Oak Tree is in Yorkshire, north of York, and is a small friendly Inn with 6 bedrooms and a welcoming bar/restaurant. We have reserved all the rooms.
This small hotel was very popular with our guests this year. We occupied all the rooms but the bar and restaurant were open to the public. There was a lovely room available to us for painting when the weather wasn’t good and the staff were so helpful! Helperby Village, and nearby Brafferton, gave us loads of views so we didn’t need to go far to be inspired.
Dates: Monday 7th September 2026 to Friday 11th September 2026 (leave Saturday).
Cost for 5 nights dinner, bed, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal is £1,200. Drinks purchased separately.
You will need to pay £100 non-returnable deposit to reserve a space.

The holiday consists of 5 nights (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thursday and Friday) dinner, bed and breakfast with a packed lunch. You arrive on Monday afternoon and there will be a Meet and Greet with Charlie at about 4.30pm.
Painting tuition will be on Tues, Wed, Thurs and Friday. All rooms are single occupancy and en suite.
Painting will be outside if the weather is good, or inside in a large room at the Inn. So, you will need a chair or easel as well as your usual painting kit. Charlie will bring a small shop of essentials.
